Delhi Public School, Bangalore South was established in the year 2001, under the aegis of The DPS Society, New Delhi and K K Educational and Charitable Trust led by Shri. K Rahman Khan, former Union Minister, Minority Affairs and is affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi.
DPS Bangalore South is renowned for imparting holistic education and staying committed to the realization of the ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ as prescribed by the United Nations. We are an SDG School and believe in empowering our children through an attitudinal, structural and cultural process so that they gain the ability and agency to make decisions and adapt to change. Our illuminous alumni have secured top ranks in various competitive examinations like NEET, IIT, CLAT, CA, CAT, NIFT etc. and have been well placed in institutions of excellence within India and overseas. As harbingers of progress, we at DPS Bangalore South facilitate the empowerment of children through a multidimensional methodology. The endeavour is to create the right confluence of various facets of education to enhance the development of competencies that will transform the learner into a catalyst of change. We strive to build individual and collective capacities in an attempt to decode the myriad facets of quality education.
The future of education lies in designing a curriculum that would fulfil the needs of the 21st-century learner. The NEP 2020 has brought forth the significance of the amalgamation of knowledge, skills and attitudes in today’s educational scenario. The concerted efforts at DPS Bangalore South work towards the augmentation of knowledge, vital values of solidarity, empathy, critical thinking and social engagement in our children. Learner autonomy, collaborative projects and tasks that enable proficiency in communication are all predicated on a view of learning that looks upon students as active doers and thinkers rather than being passive beneficiaries of knowledge.
Learning dynamics are changing and as educators we are trying to bridge the lacuna between synchronous, asynchronous and traditional modes of education.
