On 8th August 2019 , संस्कृत पर्व – Sanskrit Divas was celebrated with enthusiasm and vigour by all the Sanskrit students from grades 5 to 10. Samskrutasya rakshanaaya rendered during the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
The Guest of Honour Dr. Roshini Iyer , from Vagvidya Foundation graced the occasion. Songs, dances and the skit – Moorkhadhipataye Nama enthralled the audience. The highlight of the event was mono – acting of the characters like Draupadi- Seeta-Sati- Shakuntala from the Indian epics.
Shops of vegetables, flowers, fruits, clothes etc. with Sanskrit speaking sellers were set up by the students. She addressed the audience with her words of wisdom on the relevance of Sanskrit in today’s world. The events were concluded with a melodious song Surasa subodha..
