In scintillating form, Rahul Sanjay Balakrishnan, a Grade 9 student from DPS Bangalore South, not only became the champion of the 6th DSI Head Karnataka Squash Championship held at DSI Bangalore from January 6th to 9th, 2024, but also set a national record by becoming the only player ever to win six State Championships!
After dominating the State Championships so far, undefeated top seed and 5-time defending champion Rahul finally met his match Aryaman Singh 2-1,11-3,9-11,11-3 in the QF, before going past Aadit Kabade 3-0 11-3,11-0,11-3 in the SF and finally beating Arjun Ramdas 3-0 in the final 11-6,11-7,11-5 to become champion for an unprecedented 6th time!
